National CBD Month, and Why It Matters
Since 2018 when the recent farm bill became a law, CBD has been legal at the federal level and has seen exponential demand from the public. Due to this increasing use of CBD, and the visible positive benefits, it has since then helped to loosen state and local laws on cannabis. This has gone a long way in presenting the usefulness of CBD to an increasing number of consumers in the form of oils, topical, edibles, etc.
Many televised intreviews, debates and discussions have been held about the CBD, but yet there seems to be a few unanswered questions such as;
- Can you get high from consuming CBD?
- Is CBD legal in other places?
- Which CBD vendors can you trust?
- And which is the ideal CBD oil for you?
Snug CBD has joined with other CBD suppliers to promote January as National CBD month to help clear these problems once and for all. For the entirety of January, the goal is to shed more light on the hemp-derived substance, which will hopefully clear up most questions, alter perception for the better, and set a superior standard for CBD and its products.
Firstly we start from the genesis which is the CBD and what it means:
One of the major objectives for National CBD month is to provide consumers with a better knowledge of what the hemp-derived CBD is all about.
Often times, hemp is mistakenly viewed with a bad reputation as a result of its similarity with marijuana. Some people incorrectly consider that both plants are the same — because they look and smell alike, they are both strains of cannabis, and were both illegal substances for a long time.
But of all their similarities they have one difference which is that marijuana contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in a very high amount, because of this you tend to get “stoned” or feel high after consumption, unlike the federally legal hemp which contains only 0.3 percent of THC and high amount of CBD.
CBD does not get you HIGH
There are also CBD products that are entirely free from THC and such products are available at Snug CBD. We steer clear of THC products, even though places where marijuana usage has been legalized also tends to allow marijuana-derived CBD.
CBD Myth Busting
Another challenge customers face is the problem of misinformation about CBD and its product.
Several people on the net and CBD sellers tend to make unverified claims about CBD. There are a lot of studies about CBD, but curing or treating diseases is not included and anyone who claims so, does so without sufficient information. Rather CBD is better described as a means to support your existing health and fitness routine.
Also, some disreputable CBD suppliers claim that all the CBD products are very similar to each other. Top-quality CBD products are made with high level of care and precision with premium ingredients compared to the others which are been made with the cheap stuffs available and shortcuts are often taken.
Some CBD suppliers sell mislabeled counterfeits that do not contain CBD, or frequently contain harmful and dangerous substances.
Reliable CBD producers often provide consumers with third-party safety tests gotten from ISO-certified laboratories. This will help them determine the exact content of the CBD of their choosing.
The good news is that here at Snug CBD we hold your health, wellness, and well-being at our core!
The question remains “If CBD does not cure or prevent diseases, what exactly does it do?”
Just like other products gotten from cannabis, CBD works by interacting with the endocannabinoid system of the body.
This consists of receptors that help in the regulation of certain processes such as memory, digestion, mood, and the immune response.
Simply put, it helps in homeostasis; which is the way the body maintains its internal composition even when conditions from the external environment try to alter it.
Many Many people find that by daily consumption of CBD tends to promote calm and focus. It also helps in the boosting of the general well-being.
